A Long Way from Home

A Long Way from Home

(from the artist’s “crumpled” period) As the Astronaught’s colleagues collect samples from the Moon’s surface, he gazes above him, where the Earth hangs in space. So far from home, but even further from Pluto.

Breakfast at Noon, continued

Breakfast at Noon, continued

(from the artist’s “crumpled” period) That midday breakfast was delicious! Why not extend it by having a nice piece of chocolate cake? But is that really chocolate cake in the picture, or is it a frenzied assassin? You’ll have to decide for yourself!

Puzzle time

Puzzle time

(from the artist’s “crumpled” period) So many beach balls! But which one is the roundest??

There Is No Spoon

There Is No Spoon

(from the artist’s “crumpled” period) More knives and forks than you can count (just try!) but not a spoon in sight. This clearly parodies the inequalities between rich and poor in contemporary society.

GET OUT!

GET OUT!

(from the artist’s “crumpled” period) Get out, you darned cat!

The Spanish Horse

The Spanish Horse

(from the artist’s “crumpled” period) What a magnificent steed! Strong, lean and immaculately groomed, surely a champion of champions! What a shame that it’s been shot in the head.

The Old Soldier

The Old Soldier

(from the artist’s “crumpled” period) The old, retired infantryman, set alight by a gang of chavs, holds his rifle proudly and reminisces over past battles as the flesh melts from his bones in the searing heat of the blaze. The flames look so hot, you’d think you’d burn yourself just be touching the picture!

Trees at Dawn

Trees at Dawn

(from the artist’s “crumpled” period) As the first rays of Dawn’s cold light reach the dense trees of the forest, one of them explodes.
