Notes Immediately prior to this party I obtained a new camera body. Since it was, in essence, merely a more modern, upgraded version of my existing camera, I could foresee no problems with me using my new toy at this party. Unfortunately, when this event got underway, I forgot that I had been trying the new camera set to ISO 3200. I duly fired off over 200 shots - mostly with flash - blissfully unaware of the unsuitable ISO setting.
Because of this crass mistake on my part, I must apologize for the excessive and unnecessary noise on many of the photos captured during this party. Fortunately, other than the problems caused by a ludicrous ISO setting, most of these photos came out OK.
PAGE 1:
The first highlight of this party was Chase Masterson performing a couple of tracks from her new album, "The Thrill of the Chase". '01Masterson.jpg' was captured during this performance.
PAGE 2:
An auction took place to determine which lady should remove Brody Hutzler's "End of Days" T-shirt. '14Hutzler.jpg' shows said clothing removal in progress.
Although not on the 'guest list', Julie Benz' husband, John Kassir, was a definite presence at this event. He even joined the ranks of the Jedi Chefs (as, indeed, did his wife)! You can see him in '16Kassir.jpg'.
PAGE 3:
I admit to being pleased with how '27Benz.jpg' turned out. That is a nice photo, I believe.
This was my first visit to Pages Bar. For anyone who has not yet visited the place, I have included '29PagesBar.jpg'.
Having attended several Starfury events, I am aware of how stressed and pressured Sean Harry can become - with good reason - during events that he is responsible for. It was, then, good to witness Sean relaxed and enjoying this event, although his tendency to strip off whenever having fun is something that I personally could exist without (30Harry.jpg).
Towards the end of the event. Brody Hutzler and Andy Hallet got up onto the bar to continue entertaining those present with song and chat. '32Hutzler_Hallet.jpg' shows them up there. Note that they must each crouch to avoid the ceiling!
It is important to keep a cool and level head at events such as this. '34Party.jpg' shows that some people tend to get carried away.
