I managed to get my replica M134A2 Vulcan Minigun to this event. That, plus the fact that three of the four guests dressed up as Jedi Master Chefs on Friday night (Aaron Douglas dressed so at a previous event) explains how several of the photos on this page came to be. PAGE 2: On the Saturday night, several of my "gang" dressed up as "YMCA" characters. Two of them can be seen "arresting" Aaron Douglas in '19Douglas' (he was later released with a caution), and Aaron can be seen interrupting the group in '20Douglas'. In the first of those pictures, one of Aaron's beer related t-shirsts can be made out. Aaron was accompanied to the event by his brother, Chris, who became a Jedi Master Chef on Saturday night. He can be seen, dressed up, in '21Douglases' and '22ChrisDouglas'. We knew in advance of the weekend that Sam Witwer was a fan of Star Wars, so it is no surprise that, in '23Witwer', he has one of our guys' X-Wing pilot helmets and blaster. PAGE 3: Aaron's other beer related t-shirt can be seen in '27Douglas'. At one point on stage on Sunday, Sam Witwer was required to sing along to "Eye of the Tiger". '35Witwer' depicts him in full flow. Towards the end of Sunday's Q&A sessions, the guests acted out various scenes from Battlestar Galactica, with each of them playing characters other than their own. In '36Witwer_Penikett', Sam Witwer portrays Gaius Baltar, whilst Tahmoh Penikett is acting as "Number Six"! PAGE 4: The photos on this page are from the photosessions that I went into over the weekend, plus some of the more interesting autographed items that I came away with. As is now "usual", I dressed up as a Jedi Master Chef for each photosession and took sufficient weapons and extra chef's hats into the photosessions with me. Thank you very much to Juliette for taking the photosession photos for me. '42Douglas' came as a "freebie" thanks to my successful bidding, in Aaron's Sunday night auction, on the item shown in '46dailies', which is a DVD of the "dailies" from one day's shooting of Battlestar Galactica. When Tahmoh Penikett signed the photo shown in '43Peniket', he remembered, from an earlier conversation, that, instead of The Force, Jedi Chefs use The Sauce. For my photosession picture with Sam Witwer, I had handed him a red (evil) lightsaber. Remembering this, he wrote his message on the picture seen in '44Witwer'. On Sunday, I got all four guests to sign a copy of the daft Jedi Chefs "film script". It pleases me to comment that the three of them who included their Jedi Master Chef designations (JMCxxx) did so without me requesting it, and even remembered their JMC numbers! The result is seen in '47script'. |
