The previous record of 16 Jedi Master Chefs in one photo was smashed! You might only count 20 JMCs in '01JediMasterChefs' but take note of JMC061 Otter who is accompanying JMC004 Duane. Dan Bacon became a JMC on Friday night (the other guests dressed up on Saturday night); one of the resultant photos is shown in '02Bacon'. One of several "set pieces" that the Jedi Chefs had planned for this event was our "group Horatio Caine" effort; knowing that Aaron Douglas hated the character, a group of us invaded his Saturday Q&A session en masse, all dressed as Caine. He definitely noticed! See '03CarrotTop'. Aaron's birthday was only a couple of weeks after this event, so we decided to hold a little celebration on Saturday night. '04DouglasBirthday' is one of the photos taken during the course of this. Five of us entered the fancy dress competition as "Team America"; we won second place! We wore the outfits for the entire party; it was great fun! '05TeamAmerica' and '06TeamAmerica' show us in all our glory, including my three largest and most impressive replica heavy weapons. Late on Saturday night, Aaron's mate Dan discovered the fun that could be had with one our BFG foam rocket launchers. He found Aaron and shot him in a very sensitive area from only a few feet away. Given the recent injury that Aaron told us he'd sustained in that area, it must have hurt; he collapsed to the floor in a heap! '07downedDouglas' shows him doubled up outside the ladies' loos. PAGE 2: It was Rob's birthday on the Sunday and we had all manner of strange activities planned. One of the most impressive was the wearing of T-shirts depicting dozens of different photos of Rob spanning some 10 years or more. A large number of those T-shirts can be seen being worn in '16RobT-shirts' - including one sported by Dan Bacon. PAGE 3: Both Dan Bacon and Aaron Douglas wore "Rob" T-shirts on Sunday; both can be seen in '33Bacon' and '34Douglas'. As part of celebrating Rob's birthday on the Sunday night, Caroline had procured a large cake and adorned it with a little "Rob" figure! The cake - and the mini-Rob - can be viewed in '36RobCake'. PAGE 4: The photos on this page are from the photosessions that I went into on Saturday, plus the autographed items that I came away with. As is now "usual", I dressed up as a Jedi Master Chef for each photosession and took sufficient weapons and extra chef's hats into the photosessions with me. Thank you very much to Juliette for taking the photosession photos for me. '45Douglas_Clyne' is a season 3 shot that was taken by Nicki Clyne herself! Every attendee who entered the fancy dress competition received a special print, signed by all four Battlestar Galactica guests; '47montage' shows mine. I brought all seven of my replica guns to this event. They were useful for our Team America effort but were also fun to use at other times; I took them all into the group photosession and let the guests choose what to wield. '48group' is the excellent result. |
