| Notes | I've wanted to get to one of these non-residential, daytime only events
for a couple of years. Finally, I made it to one! I was traveling light
and wasn't dragging mt big, heavy SLY camera around. Instead, I had a small
point-&-shoot with me. The photos aren't as good as I might have gotten
with the SLR but I'm glad that I got them!
We had only planned on going on the Saturday but we returned on Sunday to get some "extra" autographs. See Page 2. We ended up staying until the event was winding down on Sunday afternoon. PAGE 1: There were various excellent costumes to be seen, such as those seen in '01MasterChief' and '07V'. On Saturday, there was a Dalek wandering around the place ('02Dalek'). On Sunday, there was a Tardis and a Doctor Who "lookalike" ('08Tardis'). On Saturday, two of the guests - Kim Hartman and Richard Gibson - were dressed as their 'Allo 'Allo characters ("Helga" and "Herr Flick" respectively). Some of the photos, such as '05Hartman_Gibson', show them in character. '06TelfordTiger' is the mascot of the Telford Tigers ice hockey club. As the event was winding down on Sunday afternoon, we asked the five 'Allo 'Allo guests to pose for a couple of group shots with us. '09AlloAllo' is one of the results. On seeing us do this, some Star Wars characters wanted to get in on the action, as evidenced by '10AlloAllo'. PAGE 2: Shortly after arriving at the event on the Saturday, not long after it had opened, I got autographs from all of the guests. The first four photos on this page are the most interesting ones. We also had our photos taken with each of the guests. On Saturday night, the friend I was with had the good idea of printing some of those photos and taking them back to the event on Sunday to get them signed. The remaining eight photos on this page are the autographs that I got on the Sunday. |
